Amazon Instant
Video, which is part of Amazon’s Prime subscription, offers unlimited video
streaming of your favorite show and movies, with unlimited use.
While many
Android users probably own Amazon Prime accounts, up until now they hadn’t a
use for the Instant Video feature on their smartphones, since that was only
exclusive to Amazon’s Kindle tablet line, iPads, and it is also available on
the new Fire Phone.
Now, after
countless attempts by Android users to get the service ported over to the
Android OS, according to PC Advisor it would seem it is now finally heading
Google’s way.
At an apparent
July Christmas Party (I know…) PC Advisor extracted a confirmation from Amazon
Instant Video’s marketing director, Russell Morris, that the apps arrival is
imminent.
That’s not the
only piece of news, as apparently also 4K is coming to the service. Apparently,
all of Amazon’s upcoming original shows will be shot in 4K.
If that makes
its way to Android, that might finally bring a good advantage to current 2K
devices such as LG G3. So far, no confirmed date for the release of the
service, but stay tuned!
