World Cup Cortana's streak comes to an end

As you might have been aware, the past couple of weeks Cortana, otherwise known as Bing Predictions, has been making predictions as to the outcome of World Cup matches. To get a prediction, you can either enter
Bing Predicts, or in case you have a 8.1WP phone, launch Cortana and simply ask her.

Well, her track record was perfect up till now. Many hailed her and her developer, David Rothschild, and some saw in her the spirit of Paul the octopus. She predicted the winner of each game accurately, even bravely in controversial games such as Hollan vs Argentina, and come out right each time. Until now.

Each time someone asked for a prediction, she would come up with the winner. However, this time she got off. At the battle for the 3rd place, Cortana wrongly predicted the victor to be Brazil, which turned out to be false as Holland took by 3-0. The incriminating screenshot is here:

Oops. So, it looks like Paul the octopus hasn’t exacty sprouted from the dead yet, but this has been a fun ride. Cortana correctly predicted 12 matches out of 12, with lucky number 13 standing in her way to fame. The biggest question now, is how will she fare at today’s final? If you ask her, Germany will take it. Will she be right?
