FBI FBI warns about self-driving cars, might help criminals

Self-driving cars are looking to be the next big thing in automotives, a branch which has seen few major changes in the past few decades. If you ask Google, then certainly.

Google has recently introduced one of the world’s first fully-functional self-driving car prototype. The prototype can perform almost like your average Joe: It stops for obstacles, drive around the town, stops at lights, and basically behaves as your own taxi, except there is no taxi-driver.

Now, it seems there are some problems with this futuristic car. Actually, it seems the FBI has a problem with it. According the Federal Bureau of Investigation, cars might help escaping criminals in the way that the car can drive them to wherever they want to go, while they are free to have a shoot at police cars chasing them.

Now, although that is a scary though, keep in mind there’s a long time before self-driving cars become commercial, even less have the ability to drive at a speed needed for a runaway. Now, don’t think the FBI was all negative, it also had some good stuff to say.

For example, these cars can help prevent user-error-based accidents, such as ones caused from poor judgment/lack of sleep. (A.F. It could also help you make up sleep). So, even with its problems, the FBI has a long time to adjust to these kinds of things, and one thing is sure: The car industry is more than ready for a change.
