Nexus Google Nexus 8’s existence might have leaked

There has long been discussion about whether or not exists a ‘Volantis’ device, or as we’d call it the Google Nexus 8. Now, according to a recent leak, the tablet’s existence is confirmed, and we even get to know who will manufacture it.

So, all said information was found on Indian package-tracking website Zauba, on which there was a confirmation of a shipment of two Nexus 8 prototype devices, on their way from the US to India.

Although rumors, speculations and perhaps users’ desire for an HTC tablet led rumors in a definitive HTC-Nexus-8 route, but according to this leak, the manufacturer is no other than LG, which seems to be developing a healthy relationship with Google, with a Nexus 4,5 and apparently 8 under its sleeve.

The value of the device was estimated at the equivalent of about $277, which seems about right for a Nexus 8. If the leak is legit, that means we’re getting nearer to the launch of the new tablet, and presumingly Android L along with it.

Fan-made concept
As far as specs go, the tablet will allegedly sport a 1920x1080, 8’ display housing a 64-bit Tegra K1 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 16/32GB of internal storage. These are pure rumors, and we didn’t get a single confirmation concerning that.

Stay tuned for more details concerning the alleged LG Nexus 8! Also, tell us what do you think of it so far!
