Galaxy Tab S Samsung Galaxy Tab S serious overheating issue

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S, or specifically here the 8.4’ version, was announced on June 2014, and was widely appraised for its beautiful QHD display, packed in a compact 8.4’ display.

The Galaxy Tab S features a 2560x1600 AMOLED display, housing a Snapdragon 800/ Exynos 5420, 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, 8MP camera and a fingerprint sensor.

According to reports, device suffers of an over-heating problem. Now, while that is a common problem with a lot of high-end device, it seems it’s really extreme in this case, literally causing the device’s back to melt down. Watch the charred backs below:

Now, there’s a chance this is just a defective unit, and most of the units don’t suffer of this problem. However, if this is a more wide-spread issue, that’ll mean serious trouble for Samsung.

Samsung has yet to comment on the issue, but expect a statement soon enough.
