Xiaomi Mi4 officially unveiled

As you might remember, yesterday we gave you an exclusive leaked sales ad of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi4, and now after the official unveiling, it turns out we were right about 99% of the details!

Indeed, the phone sports a 2.5GHz processor. (Snapdragon 801, we said 805). Now comes the interesting part- All sites claimed 5.5' QHD, but we were spot on when we said 5' 1080p display. It indeed comes with MIUI v6.5. Yup, it has 3GB of RAM, and a 13 MP back shooter. 8 MP front (We said 5). Battery is 3,080mAh, similiar to our claim of 3,000. So, if you were doubting the quality of our leaks, doubt no more!

As far as pricing goes, we told you it would be $300-$400, and that's how it will be. The 16GB version costs $320, and the 64GB variant will set you down $400. While until now Xiaomi focused mainly on China, selling an impressive 26.1 in the first half of 2014, and it seems that opened the company's appetite for more.

An interesting part of the unveiling is Xiaomi claims the phone will be the fastest one in the world, and that's definitely a thing we'll want to check when we get official speed test results. But the phone has all the components needed for a super phone:

It has the latest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, but it need to support much less with a 5' 1080p display, it would run much more smoothly than the likes of the 5.5' QHD G3.

As far as power goes, with the 3,080 mAh battery you will probably not have to ever worry about a charger in the middle of the day, as the 5' screen will not be too consumptive, and that will allow for at least a day and a half of usage.

Here's the official unveiling video:
