Following
the tide of rumors concerning Samsung’s upcoming premium phone, it’s getting
more and more likely we’ll actually get to see it in some point of time. And
furthermore, according to a recent report, it might not even cause S5 owners
significant buyer’s remorse.
The
latest leak coming to us tell
the phone will either be name the Galaxy S5 Alpha
or the Galaxy S5 F. Also, contradicting previous reports of a direct
flagship-competitor with a 5.2’ screen, it seems the device will be more like
Samsung’s version of the smaller. Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.
It will
reportedly feature a 4.7’ FHD screen, paired with an Exynos 5 Octa-core processor.
More interestingly, the phone will feature an attractive, slim metal body
consisting of thickness of mere 6mm.
Concerning
the release date of the future phone, more details have come up. The device
might be announced on August 18th, further confirming its arrival
pre-iPhone 6. Interestingly enough, the iPhone 6 too is rumored to have a 4.7’
screen, so the Galaxy F might be Samsung’s direct competitor to the future
iPhone. The phone will be available for purchase sometime in September.
This new rumor concerning the screen's size comes as a major surprise, since we saw pictures featuring the alleged Galaxy F snapped next to the S5, and seemingly being the same size, as well as the picture above in which we see a phone that seems bigger than a mere 4.7'. What do you think, is this legit or a hoax? The rumors are raining down, expect more info soon.
