Google to distribute Project Ara dev boards

Project Ara, Google’s take on creating a revolutionary smartphone, has been 

hanging for a long time. Already last year rumors started

sprouting about it, and it wasn't until a few months ago that Google officially confirmed its existence, and showed off a development board to help developers create module that will interact with the Ara phone.

Now, it seems the developer board is about to get to the devs. Google announced a contest, the winners of which will receive a development board, to help create modules for the Ara phone. To the average consumer this doesn't mean much, but it’s certainly is a big deal in the long term, as it probably tells us the launch is nearing.

You can sign up for the contest here The last submission date is July 17^th, but if you miss that you get a second chance on August, ending on August 17^th. In addition to receiving a board, the best entry will receive $100,000 and his module will be featured on the Ara phone.
