Google Glass banned by Comic-Con from movie- and TV-panels

While Glass has already started receiving the same treatment in movie theaters and other un-welcome-to-take-videos-of places, now Comic-Con is officially addressing the issue by banning Glass from entering into any TV or Movie panel. Whoever wears prescription Glass is welcome to bring a regular pair of eyeglasses.

Before you start protesting, this is regular protocol and smartphones, tablets and camcorders are also banned. This makes sense, since most of the material shown there is copyrighted, and it is sensible to ban recording it. However, perhaps this isn't the most interesting part, and the fact Comic-Con actually took to including Glass in the banned list can be interpreted in two ways-

In the Glass-optimistic way, you could look in the half-full cup and say that it means that Glass is getting socially accepted, and is being listed on par with smartphones and tablets, since it might be getting part of society.

However, you could also say that stating it is banned means organizations are actually threatened by what Glass does, and don't want it anywhere near them- It is actually a pretty innocent-looking way of capturing video, and if you're already wearing it no-one could no whether you are recording or not.

Anyways, if you planned to dress up as a Glass-hole for Comic-Con, better switch to something else. What do you think, which way do you choose for interpreting the matter? Tell us in the comments below!
