According to a custom test, in which he asked both personal assistants 800 questions divided into five categories (general information, local information, OS commands, navigation and commerce). Half of them were asked while indoors, and half outdoors. The point of the test, is to determine which Personal Assistant answered with better accuracy.
In contrary to last time, now Google Now came out on top. Results were 86% accuracy for Google, while Siri managed to score 84%. Both showed improvements over last year, when Siri scored 83% and Google fared 81%.
As to the sources of their answers, Siri used Google to find only 3% of the answers, down from the previous 27%. Bing accounted for the rest, and for navigation Siri used its own Apple Maps. Siri also managed to answer 4% of the questions on its own, without using any external help, which could help in motivating people to ask Siri instead of just resorting to the search engine. There is now point saying Google Now's sources, since that is pretty much 100% Google.
Now for the report cards: For overall performance, Gene Munster granted Google Now a B, while Siri received a C+. Nonetheless, these differences are very minor, so it doesn't seem like any sort of deal breaker to any side, mainly coming down to personal preferences.
