After a while ago Google added the ability to set reminders from the Google Search app in Android, now it seems the option is also coming to the desktop Google, enabling you to set notifications straight from your computer.
That can add functionality when you don’t feel like saying aloud your reminders, e.g. when you’re in the middle of a public place. Here’s Google’s statement, explaining the feature:
You don’t have to use the mobile Google Search app to add reminders. Just search Google for add reminder or create reminder, enter a name, a date or a place. You can also enter specific queries like: add reminder to buy milk tomorrow or create reminder to buy sandwich when I am in Chicago. Just click “remind me on Google Now” …
Instead of typing the full reminder each time, you can simply write create reminder and it will pop a box, asking for the reminder’s text, place and time. Now, while this is a very nice feature to get, most of us don’t exactly walk around public places setting reminders, but anyhow it’s nice to have the options on our laptops and monitors in addition to smartphones.
