After the recent soak tests on which we reported here, it now seems the Verizon version of the Moto G is now
getting treated to the latest Android 4.4.4.
That marks another check on Motorola’s run for being
the most up-to-date company, with almost all its 2013, 2014 devices getting
KitKat and now beginning to receive the true latest, 4.4.4. That's much better than other companies, which barely update their latest flagship (LG G2 I'm looking at you).
While 4.4.4 doesn't offer much save for bug fixes and
security patches, seeing an “Update is available” notification is always good
for the eyes, and a company is always expected to update its flagship to the
latest version possible, no matter how minor.
If you didn't get it, be a little patient since OTA
update sometime takes a while to spread. You can also check manually in the
settings. If you did get it, please tell us if it's the latest 4.4.4r2 version.
