After we saw basically the complete leaked features of
this ‘Prime’ phone, which is allegedly called LG G3 Cat. 6, it now seems the
release date of this phone is just around the corner.
For a long time, we've been hearing tales of each company releasing a Prime version of its flagship, boasting monstrous specs improvements and perhaps more premium designs, making them an exclusive very-high-end-market phones, perhaps even disappointing those who bought the original flagship, only to have it replaced after a few months. But, now we know that's not the case.
‘Prime’ versions of flagships are basically LTE-A
capable handsets that bring with them enhanced features, and in both cases of
Galaxy S5 and the LG G3 it seems this upgraded versions will only be available
in their home markets of South Korea.
LG’s version will come equipped with the LTE-A, will
probably be called LG G3 Cat.6 (Samsung’s was named Galaxy S5 LTE-A), and the
improvements over the regular version will be the inclusion of Snapdragon 805,
which is especially notable in this case since it is optimized for 2K displays.
According to the recent report, the phone will be
announced as soon as 4 days from now, on July 25th.
JOKE: Wouldn't it be cool if LG’s Prime phone will be called, as a tribute to the LG Optimus series, LG Optimus Prime!?
