Netflix Netflix ‘Incognito Mode’ to be released soon

Everything you watch on Netflix gets catalog, which means that whatever show or movie that you view will get written in your watching history, and that might be unwanted for some people.

For the people who don’t exactly want their watching history to be written, Netflix is about to offer you a neat solution, similar to the Incognito Mode on Chrome.

Currently being tested by a limited amount of customers, the new mode will be called “Privacy Mode”, and all it will do is simply not record your watching history. It will not show up in ‘previously viewed videos’, will not be shared on Facebook, won’t affect your recommended show algorithm, and basically will be as if you never watched it.

Although the information might be stored somewhere in Netflix’s servers, this will definitely be a neat solution for those of you who might be sharing the account with other people, and don’t want them to know what you’ve been viewing.

Although there is no guarantee it will ever pass the beta stage, if it does than it will probably be released soon enough. What do you think of this news?
