Xiaomi sells 15,000 Xiaomi Mi 3 units in 2 seconds

After passing Samsung on its way to the first place in the Chinese market, Xiaomi has teamed up with Flipkart and managed to sell 15,000 units of the Xiaomi Mi 3 in a mere 2 seconds.

The Xiaomi Mi 3 might have been announced last year, but at its ~$230 price tag its good for emerging markets such as India. This sale beats last week's 5 seconds in which Xiaomi sold the 15,000 units. Xiaomi conducts the sale each week on Tuesday, and you have to pre-register in order to participate.

For those looking for a more current phone, the Mi 4 features upgraded specs for a low $310 price tag, which in case you are making your way to China any time soon, can be a bargain.
