The Amazon
Fire Phone, which launched to mixed reactions, was only made available on
AT&T, and since AT&T isn’t 100% of the US that definitely made them
lose audience.
It boasts two
main features: The first one being the 3D effects. Now, that is very cool and a
nice gimmick to show friends, but in my personal experience with the Optimus
3D, I rarely actually used it. Nonetheless, Amazon might have made it good
enough for it to be usable.
The second
feature might be the more attractive one, and that is one free year of Amazon
Prime, worth $99. Not only that, but if you were to buy it through AT&T and
watched Prime through it, it wouldn’t count as your data plan. That’s pretty
near.
Now, the new
commercial doesn’t tell much about the hardware features of the phone, but it’s
neat and suggests kids will have a good time with the Prime part of the phone.
